ACG is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join their Calgary office as Litigation Counsel. Reporting to the Director, Claims Litigation, you will represent Allstate Insurance Company of Canada as well as Pembridge Insurance Company and their insureds in the defence of a range of tort and accident benefits matters. Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to: handling all aspects of litigation from initial referral to file closure; providing strategic assessment and opinions on files; drafting pleadings, motion materials and other procedural documents; attending motions, examinations for discovery, mediations, appeals, trials and other hearings; and providing mentorship and training to staff as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in personal injury law with either plaintiff or defence experience gained from a reputable law firm or another large insurer. ACG is seeking a highly organized and persuasive advocate with a tenacity for solving complex problems. Extensive trial and advocacy experience as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to this role.
