Erica Deffett

Erica has been with RainMaker Group for more than a decade and serves as Legal Consultant and Head of Communications, working closely with candidates and clients at every stage of the search process, from the first confidential conversation through to a successful placement.

Known for her empathetic and relationship-driven approach, Erica takes the time to understand the unique goals, priorities, and challenges of both candidates and clients. She believes that meaningful conversations and genuine relationships are the foundation of successful, long-term placements, built on trust, understanding, and shared success.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys playing beach volleyball, exploring Toronto's restaurant and bar scene, and is a familiar face at a few local favourites. She also rarely misses the chance to see live music, having attended more than 100 performances by over 80 artists in the past five years.
