The growing M&A Tax Services Group of KPMG Law is looking to add a talented mid-level associate to join its highly regarded M&A Tax Services Group. Members of this group have deep knowledge and experience in Canadian tax law, providing domestic and international organizations with exceptional guidance through their planning advice. In this role, you will work on diverse and intellectually challenging files that involve all aspects of income tax planning and provide legal advice with respect to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, complex reorganizations, and general corporate and commercial tax matters.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, detail-oriented and hard-working with a minimum of 4 years of M&A transaction experience in a tax role gained from a leading law firm and/or legal department. Prior experience conducting and overseeing due diligence; transaction structuring; reviewing and drafting agreements and other routine elements of complex corporate transactions is required.
