The growing Business Law group of KPMG Law is excited to add a talented mid-level

Restructuring & Insolvency Associate to join its team of high caliber professionals. In this role you will be exposed to all aspects of restructuring and insolvency proceedings under both the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, within Canada and on a cross-border basis; receiverships and bankruptcies; corporate reorganizations; and debt enforcement; in addition to a wide variety of commercial litigation work.

The ideal candidate will be confident, disciplined, and self-motivated with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience gained from a leading law firm and/or legal department. Exceptional research, negotiation, written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and stay organized while meeting aggressive deadlines are a must. In addition, you will be client-service centered with the capability to create effective working relationships across business lines and external stakeholders on legal and business matters.
