Senior Attorney, Real Estate

Our client, a prominent North American retailer with a significant Canadian presence, is seeking a Senior Attorney, Real Estate to join its growing legal team. Reporting to the Vice President, Legal, this role provides legal advice and strategic support on a broad range of commercial real estate matters across a national portfolio. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, advising on landlord-tenant matters, supporting lease administration, resolving contractual disputes and casualty claims, and assisting with acquisitions and other strategic real estate initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders, senior leadership and external counsel, the successful candidate will deliver practical, business-focused legal advice. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Canadian commercial real estate experience, deep expertise in lease negotiation, and the ability to manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
