ATS is seeking a pragmatic Corporate Commercial Lawyer to join its team as Senior Legal Counsel in their head office in Cambridge, Ontario – hybrid work structure in place. As a member of the Commercial Legal Team, responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing negotiation support to ATS’ global businesses in relation to commercial matters; assisting M&A, HR, corporate, compliance and other legal matters; working with internal and external counsel; contributing to the Legal Team’s efforts to continuously improve their services and the outcome for the business through the use of the ATS Business Model (ABM); and ensuring all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards in compliance with applicable laws and the ATS Code of Business Conduct

The successful candidate will bring 7-12 years of corporate commercial experience gained from an in-house department and/or private practice with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute legal strategy. Strong negotiation and drafting skills, excellent commercial judgement, exceptional communications and project management skills are a must. Experience in technology, automation, electric vehicle and/or nuclear industries would be considered an asset.
