The Founder's Story
Humble beginnings. A simple goal.
RainMaker Group did not begin on Bay Street. Before law school, Adam Lepofsky was in sales, first as a Sales Manager and later as Director of Sales and Marketing for a US publishing company. It was there that he learned the craft that would come to define his career: listening carefully, understanding what people truly need, and delivering on his word.
Law came next. He earned a psychology degree from York University and a law degree from Osgoode Hall, paying his way by leading sales and marketing seminars. After his call to the Ontario Bar, he practiced corporate finance at a major Bay Street firm. He had seen the legal world from the inside, and he noticed something missing: recruiters were selling resumes when they should have been building relationships.
So in September 1998, he bet on himself. RainMaker Group was founded on the belief that placing lawyers is about perspective, personality, and potential. Those intangibles never fit on a sheet of paper. More than twenty-five years and hundreds of placements later, that founding conviction has not changed.
