Davies Howe LLP is seeking a junior lawyer with 1-2 years of post call experience to support their land use and land development team. Duties include but are not limited to: working collaboratively with other lawyers to negotiate and draft agreements to secure necessary infrastructure for landowner groups advancing a common comprehensive development proposal – such as a new Secondary Plan area or sub-area or several adjacent subdivisions; advocate for residential, commercial, industrial property developers before municipal councils, the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Toronto Local Appeal Board; and prepare various forms of instruments to be registered through the Teraview system. The candidate will have prior knowledge of the land use development process under the Planning Act and related legislation and have an interest in land use planning law and real estate and real property law.
