With $227.7 billion in net assets as of December 31, 2021, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada. An independent organization, it invests the pension fund’s assets and administers the pensions of 331,000 active and retired teachers in Ontario.

Teachers’ is seeking to add a highly skilled lawyer to their exceptional team in Toronto. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work as a part of a top caliber legal department on a variety of leading edge domestic and international transactions across Teachers’ asset groups alongside some of Canada’s top financial and legal professionals.

The successful candidate will provide advice on a wide range of global investment transactions. You will work closely with Teachers’ investment professionals and be required to think creatively through sophisticated and innovative investment transactions involving both public and private markets.

The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience in private equity, M&A, securities, corporate finance and/or funds from a top-tier firm or a major financial institution. Teachers’ is seeking a highly motivated team player with a client-oriented approach to practice as well as an ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
