SLF is seeking an experienced and confident Corporate/Securities Lawyer or Governance Professional for this role. Reporting to the Vice-President, Associate General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, the successful candidate will become an integral member of the Corporate Secretary Dept. Leadership Team and will advise the Executive Management of SLF, the Board of Directors and other internal and external stakeholders on corporate governance matters and leading governance practices. Responsibilities will include managing Board and Committee Meetings including the preparation of agendas, meeting materials and minutes; managing securities and public disclosure requirements including the drafting of key governance documents; assisting with the preparation of operating budgets; ensuring compliance with enterprise policies, and leading special projects.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant corporate and securities law experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a Corporate Secretarial function with a public company.
