Acklands-Grainger is seeking to add a business-minded Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to join its team in Thornhill, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse set of legal and regulatory issues impacting the day-to-day business operations of the company, and ensure that the North American legal strategy is fully aligned with the overall business goals of the company. Working closely with the various business units, this role will focus on commercial contracting, employment, real estate, general corporate and e-commerce matters. This position will also be responsible for analyzing new and/or amended regulations impacting the business and partnering with relevant stakeholders to drive compliance and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of corporate/commercial experience gained at a leading law firm or corporation. Strong business acumen, a customer-oriented approach as well as exceptional communication skills are a must. French language skills would be valuable but are not necessary.
