First Capital is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Lawyer to join its first-class team of professionals at its downtown Toronto office located in Liberty Village. Reporting to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice on commercial real estate matters and will take a lead role supporting the business in its transactional and development initiatives.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to negotiating and drafting complex agreements on a broad range of matters including joint ventures, new developments, acquisitions and dispositions as well as advising management on critical legal, regulatory, and business risks related to the Canadian commercial real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of post-call transactional real estate experience gained from a leading law firm or major organization. First Capital is seeking a highly organized, results-oriented lawyer with an entrepreneurial spirit. This position is well suited for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a desire to actively contribute to the business. Strong relationship management skills and a team-first approach are essential.
