SmartCentres is seeking a commercial leasing lawyer to join its dynamic legal team at their headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario. The successful candidate will negotiate, draft and review lease agreements as well as ancillary lease-related documentation, assist in the resolution of tenant disputes, advise with respect to landlord’s rights and remedies, perform due diligence with respect to the prospective purchase or sale of properties, and advise Senior Management and various department heads on a variety of legal matters as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of post-call commercial real estate experience focused on commercial leasing. Mixed-use experience is an asset. SmartCentres offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to not only be involved with commercial leasing, but also with intensification and mixed-use strategies.
