SmartCentres is seeking to add a motivated Commercial Leasing Lawyer to join its legal team at their headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario. The successful candidate will: negotiate, draft and review lease agreements as well as ancillary lease-related documentation; assist in the resolution of tenant disputes including advising on landlord’s rights and remedies; conduct due diligence with respect to the prospective purchase or sale of properties, and provide support to Senior Management and various department heads on any other legal matters as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of post-call commercial real estate experience focused on commercial leasing, with mixed-use experience being an asset. SmartCentres offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to not only be involved with commercial leasing, but also with the company’s intensification and mixed use development strategies.
