Our client is seeking a Senior Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to join its team as VP, Legal at their headquarters in Mississauga. This role will serve as a key member of the company’s leadership team and will advise on a broad range of both legal and strategic business matters. Reporting directly to the Executive Management Team, responsibilities will include: advising on acquisitions and financings; negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements including service agreements, lending documents and SPA’s; providing corporate secretarial support, advising on employment issues and managing external counsel.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of post-call corporate/commercial experience gained from a leading law firm or in-house environment. This position requires a confident and strategic negotiator as well as a pragmatic lawyer with the ability to provide “real time” answers in a fast-paced environment.
